Shannon Staloch LM,IBCLC resides in Oakland, California with her family. She has studied midwifery in Senegal in the rural town of Mboro, where the nearest hospital was a bumpy 45-minute ride away. In El Paso, Texas, she worked with mainly Mexican women who waited in long lines to have their babies on the Texas side of the border. She has also studied under various homebirth midwives in the San Francisco Bay Area. Shannon's children were also both born at home with midwives in attendance. She received her midwifery degree from the National Midwifery Institute and her license from the California Medical Board in 2008. Shannon is passionate about giving women individualized, holistic midwifery care.
Shannon is on staff at the Sage Femme birth center located in the Mission District of San Francisco.
Shannon also does home births for families in and around the Bay Area. In an effort to better serve families, she has taken several trainings through the Holistic Pediatric Association. |
